Effects of pasture fertilization or treatment on parasite infestation of pastured sheep

The effects of lime fertilization on the parasitic burden on pastures are discussed in different ways in practice. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of a one-time lime fertilization or the effects of a regular application of effective microorganisms (EM) on pasture on parasitic parameters (larvae per kg of grass dry matter, EPG, number of parasites in the abomasum and small intestine) and on to examine the production (body weight) and blood parameters (red blood cells, hemoglobin, hematocrit).
