Julia Himmelfreundpointner, a graduate of the HBLA Elmberg, found an ideal external supervisor in Ing. Irene Mösenbacher-Molterer as part of her diploma thesis “Technical measures for optimizing feeding and stable climate in dairy cows” in collaboration with her school colleague Eva mayr in Ing. Irene Mösenbacher-Molterer to adapt measures to climate change to conduct practical research in dairy cattle sheds.

In this way, a fan was installed in the home stable to cool the cubicles and monitored over the course of a summer in order to be able to examine and assess the effects on the stable climate as well as the performance and behavior of the herd. These outstanding and research-relevant results were included the diploma thesis, which was awarded as one of the best works of the class of 2024 as part of the certificate awarding at the HBLA Elmberg.

The Animal Husbandry Systems, Technology and Emissions Department would like to congratulate you on this outstanding achievement and wish you all the best for your future career!
