Are sprouts also in pig diet?

Germinating seeds for human consumption has been practiced for thousands of years. This is intended to improve digestibility, increase vitamin content and enrich minerals.

When it comes to pigs, however, the focus is on protein supply. Protein is the building material from which muscles and therefore meat are created and is in short supply in organic feeding. That's why the Institute of Biological Agriculture, in collaboration with the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, investigated whether faba bean seedlings enable more growth than non-germinated beans.
