Austria is rightly proud of its traditionally small-scale and diverse agriculture. As part of the FAO's GIAHS program - Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems, traditional agricultural systems worth preserving were also identified in Austria. The planned applications are in preparation and can hopefully contribute to the preservation of endangered agricultural production systems in the next few years.
