With special consideration of the influence of climate warming

Last year, new disease patterns previously unknown to organic farming in Austria were observed in peas, potatoes and plain oats at the Lambach/Stadl-Paura experimental station. Using the available dried plant material and additional observations during the 2008 and 2009 growing seasons, these diseases will be described, their causes will be determined and practical ways to combat them will be shown. In addition, the diseases that occurred in cereals, sunflowers, potatoes, grain legumes and oil pumpkin in 2008 and 2009 will be documented and their occurrence and dynamics will be interpreted with regard to climate change.
