Further development of the odor database created in 2005 with the already proven and trained test teams from the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein according to DIN 13725. Measurement results from a wide range of application areas are to be precisely analyzed, compared and put into possible connections using the TO 8 olfactometer and the PEN 2 electronic nose . The primary goal is to control emissions from agricultural animal husbandry facilities and to carry out immission measurements on selected farms/companies (as far as this can be carried out with the existing technology).

When measuring areas (e.g. for compost heaps), the use of GPS devices should also be tested in order to be able to locate the measuring points precisely later and thus enable comparison measurements over the course of the year without any problems.

    Areas of application:

    • Agricultural animal husbandry facilities
    • Biogas plants
    • Compost rentals
    • Feed (e.g. silage, ....)
    • etc..

    Objective:

The aim of the data collection is to create a calibration model in the Winmuster program (using PLS analysis) in order to be able to carry out measurements and evaluations in certain situations using only the electronic nose, i.e. the time-consuming and cost-intensive use of the olfactometer is to determine and quantify certain odors no longer absolutely necessary. Areas of application currently planned would be rapid on-site determination of odorant concentrations/emissions from animal husbandry facilities through prior calibration using an olfactometer as well as quality determination of feed (silage,...). Further areas of application arise from the collection of a wide variety of data sets based on current events.
