Goals of the project:
- Determine which factors have an influence on the pH value of cattle manure:
There are farms that have acidic manure and farms that have alkaline manure. The reasons for this will be determined through surveys of selected companies.
- Developing possible strategies to stabilize pH:
Based on practical experience, possible strategies will be developed, which will be tested in precise tests in a longer-term follow-up project.
- Calibration and calibration of the new liquid manure test facility at Moarhof using test runs:
There is a liquid manure test facility at the Moarhof organic training and experimental farm. This consists of 3 stainless steel containers with a capacity of 170 l each. Each container has a temperature, conductivity, pH and redox potential probe. As part of a preliminary test, the system is to be calibrated so that it is ready for further tests as part of a large project.
