Bullying prevention in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Regions and Water Management
Respectful behavior and appreciative interaction in the workplace form the basis for a positive and productive working atmosphere and ultimately for the success of an organization. The different qualities and individual characteristics of the employees should be accepted in their diversity. Above all, this includes respecting the dignity and personality of every single person.
The following behaviors can constitute a serious disruption of industrial peace: bullying, discrimination based on gender, age, ethnicity, religion, belief, sexual identity, disability and gender-based or sexual harassment in the workplace. They create a stressful and degrading work environment and can cause health problems.
Preventive measures are extremely important in order to maintain and promote an appreciative climate. The present bullying prevention agreement and the establishment of bullying prevention officers can be seen as valuable contributions and active prevention measures.
The Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Regions and Water Management (BML) integrates the aspects of discrimination as well as gender-related and sexual harassment into the existing bullying prevention agreement in the interests of a respectful and appreciative working atmosphere.
