Organization of library affairs at the HBLFA. Participation in active and passive interlibrary loan services.

Since 2004, all libraries within the purview of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Regions and Tourism have been linked to form a "Virtual Library Network". The existing data has been transferred to the Library and Information System BIS-C 2000 and has been searchable online ever since.

• Management of national and international literature exchange
• Management of the scientific publications of the HBLFA
• Implementation of national and international interlibrary loans
• Monitoring the use and borrowing of library items
• Specialist literature management
• Literature searches, both conventional and computer-aided using the AGRIS program
