General information about mandatory internships

The mandatory practical training of the 5-year apprenticeship includes:

•   4 weeks at the end of 2nd grade
• 14 weeks at the end of 3rd grade
•   4 weeks at the end of 4th grade

The mandatory practical training of the 3-year advanced course includes:

• 4 weeks at the end of 2nd grade

In the practical "Meat Processing" lesson, students learn the basics of direct marketing of meat products from the farm. During the processing, they have the opportunity to explore breeding goals and successes in animal breeding with regard to meat quality.

The aim of the subject "Applied Computer Science" is to solve general problems in a vocational manner and with modern electronic tools.

During our lessons, we are allowed to fish at the school's own biotope and at the fish ponds of the Rieger fish restaurant in Trautenfels; by arrangement, we may also fish at the club waters of the Irdning fishing club.

In the elective course "Producing and Presenting," students explore food processing topics in greater depth. Whenever public events take place at the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein, this group of teachers and students is required to demonstrate their skills and knowledge.
