The elective course is aimed at students without prior knowledge as well as students who already have knowledge of Italian, and those who wish to take the elective subject and graduate in Italian.
At the beginning of the school year, students are assigned to different groups (beginners/advanced/graduating students) according to their knowledge level. These groups then meet for an average of one hour per week. The number of weekly hours depends on the number of groups, their sizes, and the available teaching hours, and can therefore vary.
In addition to teaching basic vocabulary and fundamental grammar skills, the lessons cover topics such as: making contacts, food and drink, holidays and room reservations, giving directions, leisure time and daily routine, family and friends, school and work, shopping, clothing and colors, festivals and holidays, body and health, travel, regions of Italy,…
