The practical training aims to foster an understanding of the economic, social, and cultural value of (farm) operations and their surroundings. It should also promote a positive professional attitude.

5-year training program:
Students in the 5-year training program complete the following practical training periods:

• 4 weeks between the 2nd and 3rd school years
• 14 weeks between the 3rd and 4th grades
• 4 weeks between the 4th and 5th grades 

3-year training:
Students in the 3-year advanced training course complete a 4-week practical training period between the 2nd and 3rd year.

General Information:
Professor Franz Hanus, Dipl.-Ing., is the coordinator for external internships at the Raumberg school. The school maintains a database of companies offering internships, which students can use to find a company that matches their interests. All interns are covered by group liability insurance. The Young & International of the Austrian Rural Youth Association arranges internships abroad and overseas.
