As part of this workshop, we were pleased to welcome Mr. Schaller, CEOdirektor of Raiffeisen-Landesbank Steiermark AG. He gave an engaging presentation on the topic of "The Impact of the War in Ukraine on the Banking Landscape." From the various channels of influence of the Ukraine-Russia conflict and the factors affecting capital market growth, to fiscal and interest rate policies and the impact on customers, Mr. Schaller addressed topics that were already of great importance to our students in their preliminary work for the program. Following his presentation, Mr. Schaller answered the students' questions, and his contribution provided significant added value to the preparations for the 2022 European Days.
Further steps in program creation
Students of all grade levels explored questions about "Europe" in detail, generating very interesting ideas, concerns, and expectations, which they then presented impressively during the workshop. This pool of concerns and expectations will now be used to develop the program for the 2022 European Days.
Intensive study of the topic "Europe" also means studying topics that affect the entire world, thus giving students a broader perspective on economic, political and social issues.
