State speech competition - Exciting Raumberg preliminary round

On March 22nd, the Raumberg qualifying round for the Styrian State Public Speaking Competition 2024 place in the packed Grimming Hall. Eight applicants vied for three starting places in the 16-18 age group, presenting their speeches to the jury headed by Prof. Ingrid Peyrer.

As a regular starter in her age group, Valerie Göttel took to the podium with profound thoughts on the topic "Europe as a community of values?". Here are the candidates in the order of their appearance:

  • Maximilian Meissinger: "Never forget - without farmers, there is no food"
  • Anna Lena Molterer: "It's not the farm that defines us farmers"
  • Jannik Feistritzer: "What would you choose? Industrial agriculture?"
  • Anna Haring: “Perfectionism”
  • Tobias Stangl: "Agriculture as the foundation of our society"
  • Christina Lechner: "What do you think? - Positive thinking"
  • Paul Baier: "Putting an end to the waste of time"
  • Elisa Mosbacher: "Be the architect of your life!"

After two exciting hours in front of a full hall and the meeting of the jury - Ingrid Peyrer, Ingrid Prieger-Edlinger, Christian Hüttinger, Johannes Gösweiner, Lion Peham and Herwig Pieslinger - Anna Haring, Anna Lena Molterer and Christina Lechner were selected as competition participants.

To the credit of all participants, it must be said that the decision was very difficult because everyone presented themselves so impressively. We wish them all the best, much success, and the necessary luck for the state speech competition! Herwig Pieslinger, March 26, 2024
