Dining hall extension

Currently, work is underway at the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein school building to expand the existing dining hall . The dining hall currently in use was built in 1956 and has a capacity of only 180 seats. This contrasts sharply with the current student body of more than 400.

Only by staggering access to the dining hall and taking into account the different lunch break times in the timetables can a regular service be guaranteed. The "traffic jam" in front of the dining hall at breakfast, lunch, and dinner is unfortunately a daily occurrence and all too familiar to every graduate of the Raumberg school. In March of this year , regional companies began construction work to expand the dining hall at the Raumberg school. Access will subsequently via the newly renovated Steirerhalle . Modern equipment, a redesigned food service area, and fundamental renovations in the kitchen are intended optimize efficiency . A basement and a modern acoustic concept mean that a beautiful, new dining hall, meeting current and future requirements, will be ready for use at the start of the school year in autumn 2024. The many conference attendees from Raumberg-Gumpenstein will also be served in this dining hall.
