Parasite management in grazing goats

Grazing goats contributes significantly to animal welfare and health. However, it also increases the risk of infections with pasture parasites. To address these challenges professionally, the ParaGÖAT team invites you to a one-day course in Wels September 12, 2025 .

Event content

Participants will receive:

  • scientifically sound and practical recommendations for sustainable parasite control,
  • current findings from the ParaGÖAT project of the Vetmeduni Vienna and the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein,
  • a practice-oriented in-depth study focusing on gastrointestinal strongyles (roundworms) ,
  • the opportunity for intensive exchange between practice and research.

This course is aimed particularly at goat farmers and advisors . In addition to expert lectures, the focus is working groups and discussion rounds , which facilitate a direct dialogue between science and practice. The aim is to develop concrete courses of action and thus contribute to improving parasite control in goats in Austria.
