The barn construction brochure “ LTS 229: Barn Construction for Organic Livestock Farming: PIGS ” has been published in a new edition. It provides a comprehensive information base for farmers who are confronted with barn construction measures in organic pig farming.

Through a collaborative process involving the agricultural chambers' building advisory service, BIO AUSTRIA, researchers from Vetmed and BOKU Vienna, as well as representatives from marketing organizations and barn construction companies, the new guidelines for barn construction for pig farming in organic agriculture were developed – taking into account the current legal situation. Experts from the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein contributed to the creation of this brochure.
