On October 22nd of this year, the 14th Life Cycle Assessment Platform for Agriculture, organized by the Swiss research institution Agroscope, took place in Zurich-Reckenholz. Prior to the event, Dr. Gérard Gaillard, head of the Life Cycle Assessment research group at Agroscope, was honored by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Regions and Water Management in Vienna for his long-standing support and collaboration on research projects related to life cycle assessment in Austrian agriculture, in recognition of his upcoming retirement.

Dr. Gaillard's contribution is responsible for the current prominence of eco-efficiency research in Austria. His expertise and dedication have been instrumental in gaining important scientific insights and further advancing sustainability in Austrian agriculture. Numerous innovative projects of the Eco-Efficiency Research Group at the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein were implemented with his collegial support and expertise, thus making a significant contribution to sustainable development in agricultural practice.

The Federal Ministry of Agriculture (BML) therefore presented Dr. Gaillard with a certificate expressing the thanks and recognition of the Republic of Austria for his achievements in the development of the Austrian agricultural research landscape.

Openness and trust have sustained this successful collaboration over many years. Therefore, we at the Eco-Efficiency Research Group of HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein would also like to take this opportunity to say "THANK YOU" once again and wish Dr. Gaillard all the best for his transition into his well-deserved retirement and his future endeavors!

We are pleased to continue to be able to count on the collaboration with the Life Cycle Assessments research group at Agroscope and to provide important impetus for a sustainable future in agriculture.
