The discussion surrounding climate change and its far-reaching consequences is a daily occurrence and present in all media. In recent years, the number of hot days with temperatures exceeding 30°C has increased significantly. On average, the Alpine region currently experiences nine such hot days per year, while other parts of Europe see considerably more. By 2100, over 50 days with temperatures above 30°C could become the new reality in the region (ZAMG).
