Biodiversity is understood here, on the one hand, as the basis for the functions of the respective agricultural ecosystem and, on the other hand, can also be influenced by land management.
These services have played an important role in scientific and political discussions since the Millennium Ecosystem Report (early 2000s) and are now also discussed as NCP (nature's contribution to people). In Austria's Vision 2028+ for the further development of agriculture, ecosystem services in agriculture, and how these can be compensated, play a key role. Therefore, agroecosystem services should be identified and communicated as a product of land management.
Our short videos offer interested audiences a concise overview of the diverse achievements of agriculture. They don't delve into the details of individual topics and are therefore ideal for teaching, consulting, and for anyone who wants to quickly and thoroughly inform themselves.
HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein, in cooperation with Raumberg-Gumpenstein Research & Development and within the framework of the projects "Mehrwert Berglandwirtschaft" and "FarmLife EcoValue", has created these short videos on the different agroecosystem services.
