Discover the potential of your farm

Our Department of Economics and Resource Management, headed by Christian Fritz, MA, drives innovative projects to improve the sustainability of agricultural operations. We work on developing innovative models and contribute to optimizing agricultural production processes through comprehensive data analysis.

We strive to improve the efficiency, economic viability, and environmental sustainability of agricultural practices. This includes:

  • Agricultural economics: We analyze market trends, price developments and operational key figures to enable farmers to make informed decisions to increase their profitability.
  • Environmental assessment: We conduct comprehensive environmental assessments to evaluate the impact of agricultural activities on the environment and to identify ways to reduce negative impacts.
  • Model development and data analysis: By developing models and analyzing large datasets, we seek practical solutions for agriculture and make predictions for future developments.
  • Sustainable farm management: We support farmers in managing their farms sustainably by incorporating economic, social and environmental aspects into their decisions.

Our research projects cover a broad spectrum, from analyzing the agricultural economic situation to assessing the environmental impacts of digital technologies. We work closely with farms, experts, and society to develop practical solutions.
