The Sonnenalm dairy cooperative, a farmer-run operation, was founded almost 30 years ago in the municipality of Klein St. Paul in Carinthia . The cooperative processes milk from 12 cattle farms and two goat farms , marketing it throughout Carinthia and neighboring regions via various channels. The processing plant also features a dairy experience center , a cheese-making school offering courses on milk processing , and a strong emphasis on experiencing sustainable agriculture and food production firsthand.
