All farms must sooner or later address the issue of succession. Increasingly, there is no successor within the family, so who will take over the farm? Conversely, there are many farmers – whether they are heirs who are stepping down or newcomers – who would like to continue farming. So where can they find farmers looking to hand over their farms and find a successor?
This is precisely where the association Perspektive Landwirtschaft (Perspective Agriculture) comes in. With innovative approaches such as a digital platform that creates spaces for encounters between those seeking to transfer their farms and those looking to do so, it also offers opportunities for getting to know each other in person, through events like speed dating. The association supports those transferring farms and those seeking to transfer them by providing information and creating spaces for exchange and mutual connection. The association's educational work is funded by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Climate and Environment, in part through the "Rural Development" fund.
