Climate adaptation – Valuable suggestions for business development by Franz Sinabell
The climate crisis, changing food systems, the development of agricultural markets and product revenues, agricultural compensation payments, digitalization, societal expectations of production, land requirements for energy generation and the provision of resources to replace fossil raw materials have a direct impact on the development of Austrian agriculture - and thus on every single farm!
In conversation with Dr. Franz Sinabell, we gain valuable insights into what should be considered in business development and adaptation to climate change. Dr. Sinabell is a research associate at the Austrian Institute for Economic Research (WIFO), where he works in the research area of environment, agriculture, and energy. His work focuses on agricultural and food policy, environmental and resource economics, and risk management. He has extensive knowledge of the agricultural sector and often thinks outside the box. Despite this broad perspective, he maintains a practical approach – likely because he comes from an agricultural background and is passionate about it.
