Starting with keynote speeches on climate change, the discussion will address the problems of extreme events, especially drought, and the associated changes in soil water balance.
An overview of multi-year drought experiments at the ClimGrass experimental station in Gumpenstein, together with current results on water balance and grassland yields, forms the second thematic block.
The third part will address possible adaptation measures. The event will conclude with an excursion to the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein experimental field to observe climate impact research experiments.
