The reason for the Ugandan delegation's visit to Austria is a cross-border project with the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU) (Prof. Hans Sölkner) on pig breeding in Uganda. Director Johann Gasteiner, Michael Kropsch, and Georg Terler guided the delegation through the experimental barns in Gumpenstein and provided insights into current trials.
This led to a lively exchange of expertise, and the participants were impressed by the experimental facilities and research projects at HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein.
