As part of the "Sustainable Food Management" at FH Joanneum Graz, the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein offers the course "Applied Animal Husbandry." Under the coordination of Dr. Elfriede Ofner-Schröck, our experts impart in-depth knowledge of cattle, pig, sheep, and goat farming, animal breeding, animal nutrition, and the environmental impacts of agriculture. The goal is to provide students with a holistic understanding of food origins. This knowledge empowers them to recognize products produced to the highest standards, to make conscious choices, and to actively communicate the added value of agricultural work to consumers.
On January 17, 2025, the students had the opportunity to gain practical insights into animal husbandry and current research projects as part of an excursion to the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein.
We thank FH Joanneum Graz for the excellent cooperation and wish the students every success on their future path!
