In recent years, there has been a significant shift in people's attitudes towards the environment. Preserving biodiversity has become a key concern of agricultural and environmental policy. Particularly when it comes to revegetation in the high-altitude regions of the Alps, consideration for biodiversity and a methodology that is as close to nature as possible are of paramount importance. This book presents the current state of the art regarding site-appropriate revegetation in high-altitude areas of the Alps and aims to facilitate the application of the methods described herein wherever possible.
