The aim was to better identify and assess suitable habitats and to actively improve them through targeted measures.
The workshop began with a presentation by Dr. Hubert Zeiler, in which the ecological requirements and challenges for grouse were thoroughly explained.
After a shared lunch break, the theoretical knowledge was put into practice: An excursion to Wörschachberg offered the participants the opportunity to get a direct impression of existing habitats on site and to discuss specific maintenance measures.
The open exchange between experts, practitioners, and interested parties contributed significantly to gaining new perspectives for the conservation of these particularly sensitive wildlife species.
