Barn construction experts meet in Raumberg-Gumpenstein
The construction of barns for cattle, pigs, and poultry requires extensive expertise and comprehensive information on current developments. The Raumberg-Gumpenstein Construction Conference is therefore a regular meeting place for consultants, educators, government representatives, and everyone involved in the construction and equipping of barns. This year, from May 31st to June 1st, 2023, numerous participants were welcomed to the Grimming Hall at the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein, and thanks to the modern hybrid format, also online. The diverse program featured a number of national and international speakers.
Structural solutions for reducing emissions and ensuring animal welfare in cattle farming were on the agenda, as were experiences with manure removal and milking robots, barn climate issues, and photovoltaics. Furthermore, funding opportunities for improved animal welfare under the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), a new concept for fattening pig farming, and current challenges in poultry farming were presented.
