75th Plant Breeders' Conference in Raumberg-Gumpenstein

The 75th Plant Breeders' Conference was held in Raumberg from November 25th to 27th.

This long-standing collaborative event between Austrian seed merchants and the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein has been held in Gumpenstein and Raumberg, respectively, since 1956. To mark the anniversary, the event also featured a showcase of Austrian plant breeding, both looking back at past achievements and looking ahead to the future. Before an audience of one hundred, attendees were presented with an up-to-date overview of current research projects and ongoing breeding activities in various fields

be given.

The program was rounded off with an overview of current research projects at the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein and an excursion to the livestock sector, which was attended by many interested participants. During this excursion, ongoing projects on emissions and immissions in animal husbandry and the feeding of ruminants were presented.
The event concluded with a visit to the beautiful abbey library in Admont.
