New head of the institute “Animal, Technology and Environment” at HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein

On June 7, 2023, Dr. Birgit Heidinger was appointed by Federal Minister Totschnig as head of the Institute “Animal, Technology and Environment” at the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein.

The institute's main areas of work include questions relating to species-appropriate animal husbandry, animal welfare, the assessment of barn buildings, barn equipment and husbandry systems, as well as emissions and immissions and socio-economic, operational and labor-related issues in agriculture.

Dr. Heidinger has been working successfully at HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein since 2012 and brings a great deal of personal and scientific experience to the management of the research institute at HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein.
