Influence of storage conditions of whole-grain maize silage (WGS) on fermentation gas composition and fermentation losses

More than 50% of Austrian pig fattening farms use maize silage in their feed and sometimes experience yeast problems during the summer months. This project aims to investigate, using 12 practical silos and a precise experimental setup, the influence of the fermentation gas atmosphere composition on silage quality and fermentation losses.
