Great interest in the workshop on dust reduction!

On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, almost 30 pig farmers with animal welfare-oriented barns met for a workshop at the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein.

The morning was dedicated to a brief introduction of the participating farm managers, followed by an intensive discussion with barn climate experts Irene Mösenbacher-Molterer and Eduard Zentner about the latest research findings on dust levels in pig barns and solutions for dust reduction.

In the afternoon, Verena Größbacher (Pig Farming Austria) and Birgit Heidinger organized a so-called "World Café" in which the participants discussed different questions and challenges on the topic of fattening pig farming in animal welfare barns.

Overall, this was a truly successful workshop, which will be followed up at the explicit request of the participants - we are already looking forward to it!
