The HBLFA within the program segment " Raumberg-Gumpenstein was invited to present its podcast " Agricultural Science – Knowledge in Brief " as a best-practice example Research Speaks – Initiatives and Projects of the Department ." The podcast was presented as an innovative format that presents current research findings in an understandable, practical, and target-group-oriented manner. With over 180 episodes to date, it bridges the gap between science, agricultural practice, and the younger generation, thus making an important contribution to knowledge transfer.
In addition to seven practical examples of departmental research, the program included presentations on science and climate communication, successful knowledge transfer formats, and a high-caliber panel discussion with representatives from science, media, and agricultural practice. The Departmental Research Day made it clear that applied research is most effective when it is communicated in an understandable way and reaches those who need it – in practice, in education, and among the general public.
