The specialist program focused on the topics of climate change adaptation and digitalization in cattle farming . In the first two lectures, Dr. Georg Terler from HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein and Ing. Christian Dorninger from Saatbau Linz about optimization options in basic feed production . Above all, they also discussed how feed production and feeding of cattle can be adapted to changing climate conditions. Felix Stögbauer from Lely then reported on the possibilities and advantages of automated feeding systems in cattle farming .
The event concluded with two lectures on digitalization during forage harvesting and in the stable . Matthias Eichelseder, MSc. from the Pöttinger company presented products that help to make the harvesting process more efficient and Dipl-Ing. Magdalena Waldauer from HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein presented innovative, digital solutions for the management of cattle herds .
The conference was fully booked with around 100 visitors, which great interest in the specialist program.
