This excursion offers exciting insights into the cultivation of edible legumes!
On this excursion to South Tyrol, you will experience the INNOLegumes project firsthand. You will visit experimental fields with experts and speak with dedicated organic farmers who have already put current research findings into practice. You will also visit organic farms that demonstrate how legumes are processed and marketed directly – including inspiring product ideas.
Recognized as advanced training in plant protection according to § 17 para. 8 of the Upper Austrian Soil Protection Act 1991 as amended: 2 hours

Farm visit to Martin Haas in Rotholz with Rotholz dry bean – field tour
Visit to Florian Tauferer's farm in Telfs with Black Turtle beans – field tour
Continue to South Tyrol: Arrival around 6:00 pm.
Evening at leisure or guided tour of Bolzano.
Tuesday, June 30
Morning: Visit to Stefan Oberkofler's farm (Ausserbrunnerhof) with soybean cultivation – field walk;
visit to the organic shop Gianni Bio: soybean producer
Afternoon: Visit to the Laimburg Research Centre in Pfatten led by Daniel Ortler, producer and recipe developer of tempeh, exchange with South Tyrolean interns
Evening: Luggin Organic Farm – Presentation and exchange with the South Tyrolean Farmers' Union, Innovation & Energy Department, INNOLegumes project, discussion
Wed., July 1
Morning: Visit to the experimental plots of the Laimburg Research Centre in Dietenheim
Lunch and return journey – arrival in Linz around 6:00 pm
