Environmental assessment concept – explained simply

Within the framework of the cluster “Digitalisation in agriculture”, financed by the Austrian Programme for Rural Development 2014–2020, new technologies are being tested in practical application.

When assessing the practical suitability of digital technologies, economic and technical criteria are usually used. The evaluation of environmental compatibility and the environmental performance of their use is often lacking. Within the framework of the cluster, the HBLFA , together with project partners UBA and AGES, is developing a concept and criteria for assessing the environmental impacts of digital technologies.
