The 17th Scientific Conference on Organic Agriculture took place at Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU) from March 5th to 8th, 2024. Under the motto " Agriculture and Food – Transformation Only Makes Sense Together, " around 450 participants from science, agriculture and the food industry, politics, NGOs, associations, and political bodies met for scientific exchange and discussion.

The colleagues from the Institute for Organic Agriculture and Biodiversity of Farm Animals at HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein contributed to the discussion of current issues in organic agriculture through workshops (e.g., on the topic of "Preventive-oriented animal welfare management") and presented a number of lectures and poster contributions at this international scientific conference:
