A new diploma course “Instructor of functional hoof care” will start in October 2026

It will soon be that time again: HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein, in cooperation with European Hoofcare, is organizing the next diploma course for “Instructor of functional hoof care”.

Hoof health in cattle has been a widely discussed topic for years. It makes a significant contribution to the animals' quality of life and also has a positive impact on their performance . The course to become an instructor in functional hoof care is classified at the level of the Austrian Matura (Level V) in the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). This format and educational level make this course unique in Europe.

The content of the diploma course includes both theoretical and practical focus areas in the fields of hoof care, animal husbandry and animal health, communication, pedagogy and presentation techniques.
