3. Successfully completed diploma course to become an instructor in hoof care

On January 13, 2024, the examination for the third diploma course in functional hoof care for instructors took place. In addition to a written test, the graduates also had to complete a practical component.

Competent instructors, who possess not only practical expertise but also the didactic and pedagogical skills to impart this knowledge, are the fundamental prerequisite for any high-quality training. Therefore, we are delighted to welcome new, skilled hoof trimmers to the world of instructors, as hoof care is one of the cornerstones of cattle's quality of life and productivity.

Opportunities for professionally sound instructor training are very limited in Europe. Since 2020, the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein, in cooperation with European Hoofcare, has offered the first diploma course for instructors of functional hoof care within the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) at the high school graduation level. This high level of education is unique.

If you are interested in training to become an instructor in functional hoof care, you can find all the information here: Diploma course for instructors in functional hoof care at the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein (at high school graduation level).
