Lecture by Dr. Bohner - Webinar series “Climate-Fit Pielachtal”

Due to climate change, prolonged periods of drought are likely to occur more frequently in large parts of Austria in the future.

The consequences are declining soil fertility and income losses in agriculture. The storage capacity of grassland soil for plant-available water and its susceptibility to human influence will therefore become even more important.

This YouTube video provides basic information about water in the grassland ecosystem, the water cycle in the landscape, and the water storage capacity of our grassland soils. The video was produced as part of the webinar series "Climate-Resilient Pielach Valley – Our Soil".
