The conference program focused entirely on climate change adaptation and digitalization in cattle farming. In the first two presentations, Dr. Georg Terler from HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein and Christian Dorninger from Saatbau Linz optimization opportunities in forage production. They also addressed how feed production and cattle feeding can be adapted to changing climatic conditions. Following this, Felix Stögbauer from Lely spoke about the possibilities and advantages of automated feeding systems in cattle farming.
The event concluded with two presentations on digitalization in forage harvesting and barn management. Matthias Eichelseder, MSc, from the company Pöttinger, presented products that help to make the harvesting process more efficient, and Dipl-Ing. Magdalena Waldauer from the HBLFA Raumberg-Gumpenstein presented innovative, digital solutions for managing cattle herds.
The conference was fully booked with around 100 attendees, great interest in the program.
