Seed mixtures for intensive grassland management

Seed mixtures for intensive grassland management taking into account the changing climatic conditions (SEEDMIX)

Project goals:

  • Comparison of Festulolium or reed canary grass with meadow canary grass
  • Design of quality mixtures with outstanding forage plant varieties
  • Comparison of these mixtures with existing commercial products.
  • Effect of permanent reseeding under varying cutting regimes (4 or 5 cuts per year) on yield, feed quality, legume proportion, weed density, etc.
  • Permanent reseeding with red clover in intensively used permanent grassland
